What we collect

When you create an account, Clerk processes your name, email address, sign-in details, and account identifiers. Lake Projections stores the identifiers needed to recognize your account.

When you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes your payment details. Lake Projections stores a limited billing record that can include your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, payment status, and paid-through date. We do not store card numbers or account passwords.

We may receive messages you send to us, email subscription information you provide, and ordinary technical information such as browser type, approximate location, referring page, and pages viewed. Google Analytics helps us understand site use.

How we use information

• Provide and secure accounts and Pro access.
• Process subscriptions, confirm payments, and prevent duplicate billing.
• Operate, maintain, and improve the website.
• Respond to questions, corrections, and billing requests.
• Meet legal, security, and fraud-prevention obligations.

Service providers

We use Clerk for authentication, Stripe for billing, Render for hosting, and Google Analytics for site measurement. These providers process information under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information when required by law or when needed to protect the website, its users, or the public.

We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and sessions

Clerk uses cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in and protect your account. Analytics tools may use cookies or comparable identifiers to measure visits. You can control optional cookies through your browser, though blocking account cookies can prevent sign-in from working.

Retention and security

We keep account and billing records while they are needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain financial records, and meet legal obligations. We use access controls, encrypted connections, signed webhooks, and managed service providers to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can update account information through Profile and manage payment details or cancellation through the Stripe Billing Portal. You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information by emailing lakeprojections@gmail.com. Some billing or security records may need to be retained after a request.

Children and changes

Lake Projections is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision.
