Lake Projections policies

Terms of service

Effective August 31, 2026

Privacy Terms Refunds Cancellation

Using Lake Projections

These terms apply when you use Lake Projections or create an account. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.

Lake Projections organizes public Colorado River reservoir and dam data for general informational use. It is an independent website and is not operated by or affiliated with the Bureau of Reclamation.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for activity under your account. Keep your sign-in method secure and tell us promptly if you believe someone has used your account without permission.

Lake Projections Pro

Pro costs $8 USD per month and extends the public Davis and Parker Dam release forecasts by up to three additional days when source data is available. It renews monthly until canceled. There is no annual plan or free trial.

Stripe processes subscription payments. The amount and renewal terms appear in Checkout before you subscribe. We may change future pricing or features after giving reasonable notice. A change will not alter a charge that has already been paid.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel through the Billing tab in Profile. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and Pro access continues until then. A failed or past-due payment removes Pro access until Stripe confirms successful payment.

Subscription charges are generally non-refundable and are not prorated, except where required by law or described in our refund policy.

Data and forecasts

Lake Projections depends on public data made available through Bureau of Reclamation systems, including the Hydrologic Database. Those systems and their publication schedules are outside our control and may be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, corrected, or changed without notice. Lake Projections may therefore display an older schedule, a partial schedule, or no schedule for one or more forecast days.

Lake Projections Pro provides access to up to three additional days of Davis and Parker Dam release forecasts when the source data is available. It does not guarantee that all three additional days, hourly schedules, or same-day updates will be available at all times. By subscribing, you acknowledge that Bureau system interruptions, missing publications, and delays in receiving or processing source data can temporarily limit the extended forecast.

Forecasts are not operating instructions. Confirm important information with the Bureau of Reclamation or another official source before making decisions.

We do not guarantee that the website, an account, or any forecast will always be available, accurate, or error-free.

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the website, bypass access controls, share Pro access outside your household or organization, scrape the service in a way that disrupts it, introduce malicious code, or use the service unlawfully.

Ownership and third-party services

Lake Projections owns its original design, writing, and software. Public government data remains subject to its source terms. Clerk, Stripe, Google, Render, and linked websites provide separate services under their own terms.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Lake Projections is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the website, Bureau system outages, source-data delays or errors, missing publications, forecast changes, delayed ingestion, or service interruptions. Any direct liability is limited to the amount you paid Lake Projections during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after new terms take effect means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent to lakeprojections@gmail.com.
